To those seeking a unique and creative treat, Dave's Gelato is the creator of authentic Italian gelato and sorbetto that you will remember, because each scoop comes with friendliness and fun. Our small batch gelato and sorbetto is handcrafted in Columbia Falls, Montana using traditional Italian methods with fresh, local, and internationally sourced ingredients. It’s a fusion of flavors inspired by the mountains of Northwest Montana and regions throughout Italy. We serve our gelato and sorbetto within 3 days after its made, so it's always fresh and tasty.

what is Gelato?
The word gelato in Italian means ice cream, but it's different than American ice cream.

Gelato contains less cream (fat) and more milk than American ice cream.

Gelato has less air whipped into it than American ice cream. This creates a rich and dense texture.

Gelato is served at a warmer temperature than American ice cream. A warmer serving temperature means greater taste.

what is Sorbetto?
Sorbetto is the Italian word for sorbet.

Sorbetto is a dairy-free option to gelato.

Sorbetto is made from fresh fruit. In Montana, we select the finest cherries along Flathead Lake and of course, delicious huckleberries hand-picked from local mountains. We use filtered water to make our sorbetto.
